Restaurants that will make you skip food on board
After a long day of getting to the airport, waiting for your plane, boarding, flying, deplaning, and waiting for your baggage claim (which is always the next to last), you and your family are finally in Los Angeles. You've refused to buy the plane meals, ate some complimentary bags of peanuts, grabbed your carry-on snack, and now you're ready for a real meal with the kids.
Here is a list of good family restaurants near Los Angeles International Airport (LAX). We would recommend these restaurants even if they are not very close to LAX as they all offer great food and a kid friendly atmosphere. All restaurants are listed by approximate distance from the front of LAX airport.

Entrance N Exit (0.6 miles)
It's hard to think of a Southern California burger without thinking of In-N-Out Burger. They serve up America's comfort food in a fun and easy way. The menu isn't full of variations on specialty burgers, but that's not a bad thing here. In-N-Out keeps their menu really simple with a burger, cheeseburger, their famous double burger, fries, shakes, and drinks. It might not sound like much, but they get every dish they have on their menu done well. They start with an aged toasted bun, authentic American cheese embracing the 100% American beef burger, and finish with tomatoes, lettuce, onion and their famous spread. Add an order of their incredible hand-cut fries and their 100% real ice cream shakes. Hmm! You can't get acquainted with it on the menu either."secret menu' to get your burger in a less traditional version of In-N-Out. To make things even better, In-N-Out doesn't freeze or prepackage its food, and you can savor the freshness of its ingredients. VisitSitio web de In N Outfor more information

Crazy Wok (0.7 miles)
Located in Westchester, Wacky Wok offers New York-style Chinese cuisine with dozens of Chinese dishes on the menu. Their Cantonese style dishes are quite authentic and absolutely delicious. Although you can dine here, I usually try to order off the lunch menu since the specials start at $6.50 before 5 p.m. m. It's a real bargain for the quality of food they offer. Lunch options typically include an appetizer and sides such as steamed rice or salad. My personal favorite is the Chicken Kung Pao, which is full of flavor and has a hint of spice. You will not be disappointed. If your children share their dishes with you, you can ask for spices for their spicy dishes. Another family favorite is the Wacky Wok Chicken (also known as General Tso's Chicken), which consists of deep-fried chicken pieces glazed in a savory brown sauce with steamed broccoli. They offer the traditional selection of beef, chicken, pork, seafood and vegetable dishes. You can dine in the restaurant or if you are in a hurry you can call ahead and they will have it ready for you to take away. VisitWacky Wok's Webfor more information on your menu options.

Brooklyn Co.'s Original Water Bagel (0.9 miles)
If you're looking for a hearty breakfast or even lunch, head over to The Original Brooklyn Water Bagel Company. You may have heard that it's New York water that makes New York bagels some of the best in the country. The Original Brooklyn Water Bagel Co. features a water system that recreates the taste and aroma of Brooklyn water and uses the same water to create its delicious bagels. I am a huge bagel fan and very picky about the bagels I buy. I can say that these bagels are in the top 5 bagels in Los Angeles. These bagels aren't the fancy bagels found all over Los Angeles, they're the traditional bagels you grew up eating. The bagels have a thin, slightly crispy skin and a soft, doughy interior. I recommend garlic, onion, everything and sesame bagels. You can eat these bagels with one of their spreads or have them make you a 3 egg breakfast sandwich. They also make really good bagel sandwiches if you're a little late for a breakfast sandwich. Visit theSitio web de Brooklyn Water Bagel Co.for more information and its menu.

Flame Grill (0.9 miles)
If you're looking for a healthy alternative to fast food, Flame Broiler might be for you. This chain restaurant is an Americanized Korean style restaurant serving delicious chicken, beef and short rib plates and bowls. The healthy twist on your meal is that Flame Broiler does it without the roasting and contains no skin, trans fat, dairy, high fructose corn syrup, or added MSG. Our family loves their chicken bowls, which are cooked to order and served with your choice of white or brown rice, vegetables, and scallions. You can top it off with their flavorful teriyaki sauce, magic sauce, or sriracha whenever you need that flavorful boost. They also have a half plate and a half beef and chicken platter if you want a bit of variety. If you are looking for something quick, healthy and delicious, stop by for a bowl or a plate. Truxton American Bistro (1.8 km)
Truxton's offers classic American and ethnic dishes with a twist. The restaurant has a very nice atmosphere, comfortable and sophisticated, yet it is casual without being pretentious. They offer breakfast on weekends and lunch and dinner every day. The menu is quite extensive but each dish is unique, delicious and uses quality ingredients. Truxton's has a good children's menu consisting of a selection of children's meals, a choice of fruit, chips, carrot sticks or salad, and a children's drink. Adults can choose from a variety of dishes, from burgers and pasta to sandwiches and gourmet salads. My favorite is the Gilly Burger with Applewood Smoked Bacon, Caramelized Onions, Tillamook Cheddar Cheese and topped with Crispy Onions and Spicy 1001 Dressing. My wife and daughter love the Ancho Honey Glazed Shrimp appetizer plate which is the big enough for them as an entrance. Other highlights on the menu include Truxton's monkey bread for starters, the original 11-spice brisket dish, Wagyu beef sliders, and our favorite dessert, Bistro Cookie For Two. Presto de Alejo Restaurant (3.5 km)
If you're in the mood for some good traditional Italian food, Alejo's is for you. The restaurant is informal, comfortable and offers good service. The kind of restaurant where you would host a small family gathering or a night out without the kids. The first thing I like the most when you sit down is that they welcome you there with a basket of their signature bread and a cup of oil with minced garlic for dipping. This is hands down the best combination of bread and oil not served in any restaurant I have ever been to. I could just eat the bread and garlic oil until I'm full, so I have to make a conscious effort to finish eating before my main course arrives. That doesn't mean their food is bad too. They serve delicious pasta, chicken and seafood dishes, but we have yet to try the pizzas or the calzones. The pasta dishes are freshly made, tasty and you get a good size portion, bordering on huge. The chicken dishes are served with your choice of pasta (filling half the plate) and are almost too much for one person. My favorite dish is the chicken piccatta with linguini pasta in oil. To my knowledge they don't have kids menus but our daughter shares our meals and we never left hungry. VisitAlejos Presto Trattoria-Websitefor more information and its menu options.

The Habit Grill Burger Joint (4.5 km)
Habit Burger Grill is another burger joint that believes in using fresh (not frozen) patties and freshly cut vegetables every day to give their burgers the freshest taste. But what really makes The Habit's burgers great is that they're grilled over an open flame. They offer 5 varieties of their Charburger with my favorite being the BBQ Bacon Charburger. They also offer grilled sandwiches that are just as good as their burgers. Don't forget to add a side of their deliciously crispy onion rings and delicious real ice cream shakes. For those under 10 there is a children's menu with a choice of Charburger, a grilled cheese sandwich or chicken nuggets, a side of your choice of French fries, apple slices or applesauce and a soft drink, juice apple or milk This is definitely a great place to go for a burger with the family. Five Guys Burguer und Pommes (4,5 km)
The last burger joint on our list, but definitely not the last. Five Guys Burgers and Fries is also signing on to the no freeze, no fresh ground beef rule. What sets Five Guys apart from the other burger joints is the free toppings that you can add to your grilled burgers for free. RespectivelySitio web de Five Guys, there are over 250,000 ways to order a burger with options like grilled onions, mushrooms, jalapeno peppers, BBQ sauce and more. You start by selecting the burger you want, e.g. B. Cheeseburgers and bacon burgers, and then tell them what toppings you want to add to the burger. Note that their petite burgers are not petite, it just means it's a patty rather than a double patty. They have great fries that are cooked in cholesterol free, pure peanut oil and give you the option of adding Cajun seasoning which is our family's choice. The menu is completed with hot dogs and sandwiches. While you wait for your order, grab a scoop of the complimentary in-shell peanuts they have at the pickup counter. Five Guys Burgers and Fries makes a great burger and gives you the ability to customize it to suit your tastes.

Union Pizza Company (3.5 miles)
The furthest restaurant from LAX in our top 10, it's worth the drive if you're looking for good pizza. Union Pizza Company is located in Manhattan Beach on a nice street with shops and restaurants. They offer both Chicago Deep Dish and N.Y. Thin crust pizzas, pasta, sandwiches and salads. The reason we would go to this pizzeria is for the Chicago deep dish pizza, one of the best pies in LA. This deep dish pizza pie has an incredibly thick crust that's golden brown and is filled with five all-natural cheeses, diced tomatoes and sauce, and your choice of your favorite toppings. This pizza pie is so delicious with the cheese and tomatoes that we often don't add any topping at all. See our fullUnion Pizza Company Reviewor oursPhoto gallery of their pizzas.
